Forget New Year's Eve this year, the real party will be two weeks later.
Super Wild Card Weekend, which is Jan. 15-17, will have two games Saturday (4:35 and 8:15 p.m. ET), three games Sunday (1:05, 4:40, 8:15 p.m. ET) and the finale Monday night (8:15 p.m. ET). Instead of two days of football, we will have three days now.
For the 2021 season, CBS and NBC will both broadcast two Super Wild Card Weekend games while FOX and ESPN/ABC will each have one. (Per the press release the broadcaster for the Monday night game of Super Wild Card Weekend is yet to be determined.)
So why not do this last year and not last season? The NFL didn't consider a Monday game in 2020 because it would've conflicted with college football's national championship, but that won't be the case in 2021, with the NFL going an extra week in the regular season. Everyone wins.
